Utah Senate Votes to Repeal the 17th Amendment

by Robert John Stevens, February 25, 2016

This is VERY exciting!—The 17th Amendment was established by the illegal Federal Reserve banksters to destroy our nation’s checks and balances in government, so they can remain in power and plunder. Their deceptive ploy then was, “The people should elect the senators.” As good as that may sound, that’s not how the Founding Fathers established our nation.

Before 1913, Senators were elected by their respective state senates to represent their state. Since the 17th Amendment was passed, senators neither represent their states nor the people—just the special interests who elect them.

The people elect members of the U.S. House of Representatives but they were hi-jacked too by the Federal Reserve banksters by limiting the number of congressman despite population growth, which made it much easier for them to control.

I spoke of the history behind this and the need to repeal the 17th amendment at the 2014 Utah Republican Convention. Just maybe I planted a few seeds:

Why Mormons Believe The Seventeenth Amendment is Wrong

by Robert John Stevens, Sunday February 9, 2014

The original U.S. Constitution as ratified by the states, accepted by the people, mandated Senators must be selected by state legislators.

The Seventeenth Amendment was changed to allow Senators, like members of Congress in the House of Representatives, to be elected by the people which meant that Senators could be bought.

Mormons believe the original U.S. Constitution was correct. They believe the Lord raised up wise men to establish the Constitution and redeem the land:

“I established the Constitution of this land, by the hands of wise men whom I raised up unto this very purpose, and redeemed the land by the shedding of blood.” (D&C 101:80)

Mormons also believe that Jesus ratified the Constitution in 1833 the way it was originally published.

“And that law of the land which is constitutional, supporting that principle of freedom in maintaining rights and privileges, belongs to all mankind, and is justifiable before me.

Therefore, I, the Lord, justify you, and your brethren of my church, in befriending that law which is the constitutional law of the land;”

The next verse sums up the Seventeenth Amendment and any other law that changed from the original Constitution:

“And as pertaining to law of man, whatsoever is more or less than this, cometh of evil.”

I urge all Senators to oppose to the Seventeenth Amendment. Why? Because Senators no longer represent state legislatures. Their mission was balance government and protect against usurping power.

The states no longer have any voice. This and other defining events led to the dictatorship that now oppresses us.

Let us join to FIGHT against corruption by restoring constitutional government and the checks and balances that kept America strong.

U.S. Corruption Timeline Traced to 1913

I’ve been reading several books about the original U.S. Constitution and how it has been hijacked. Besides for the usurpation of powers by Lincoln, I’m convinced that the corrupted timeline that’s destroying our nation can be easily traced to the events that culminated in 1913 such as the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Amendments, and the Federal Reserve Act that passed on December 23rd—Joseph Smith’s 108th Birthday. We should be planning media-worthy events to mark the Fed’s 100th birthday—100 years of plunder, deception, manipulation and war.
