Founding Fathers Would Terminate NSA Spying

by Robert John Stevens, December 30, 2013

If NSA spying is constitutional, why didn’t the Founding Fathers decree all postal mail be opened and read? After all, they had historic justification when Benedict Arnold’s plan to capture General Washington at West Point was exposed when British Major John André was captured and searched.

As columnist Paul Craig Roberts recently wrote, “The other cornerstone of our culture is the Constitution. Indeed, the United States is the Constitution. Without the Constitution, the United States would be a different country, and Americans would be a different people. This is why assaults on the Constitution and assaults on Christianity are assaults on all of us.

It’s A Wonderful Lie — 100 Years of the Federal Reserve

Merry Christmas!

You may not agree with me but you will probably agree that the contrast is striking.

Watch this video: It’s A Wonderful Lie — 100 Years of the Federal Reserve.

Now contrast that to this LDS-owned KSL article which propagates the Associated Press propaganda machine:

5 ways Fed’s influence has expanded over 100 years

It is true that Mormon leaders of the 1830s and 1840s both publicly and privately endorsed political candidates. Church members followed their leaders advice and vote in blocks. The opposition responded by organizing mobs, attacking church settlements and driving members off their lands, out of counties and states, and eventually out of the United States.

So has the pendulum swing too far in the opposite direction? Will transferring the wealth of the United States to the Federal Reserve shareholders lead to our destruction? The Book of Mormon suggests it will:

Helaman 2:13
And behold, in the end of this book ye shall see that this Gadianton did prove the overthrow, yea, almost the entire destruction of the people of Nephi.

Words of Mormon 1:2
And it is many hundred years after the coming of Christ that I deliver these records into the hands of my son; and it supposeth me that he will witness the entire destruction of my people.

Ether 8:21
And they have caused the destruction of this people of whom I am now speaking, and also the destruction of the people of Nephi.

Ether 8:23
Wherefore, O ye Gentiles, it is wisdom in God that these things should be shown unto you, that thereby ye may repent of your sins, and suffer not that these murderous combinations shall get above you, which are built up to get power and gain—and the work, yea, even the work of destruction come upon you, yea, even the sword of the justice of the Eternal God shall fall upon you, to your overthrow and destruction if ye shall suffer these things to be.

My point? As God’s children we don’t embrace tyranny, neither do we endorse evil when it rules over us. That means we must take a stand, even if it means we fight against Church members or Church leaders who are not awake, blind or subservient to this evil.

Why Bother to Write Well?

by Robert John Stevens, December 23, 2014

Think how you’d judge a stranger with his zipper down and underwear showing. Just as George Washington followed written rules of civility, there are people who value good writing and abhor mistakes with derision. If we justify sloppiness at times, we most likely will be careless when it matters.

Help Senator Lee Write More Effectively

Senator Lee’s article on December 18, 2013, “Senate setting dangerous precedent on defense authorization bill,” needed only one paragraph to get our attention. Consider this rewrite, “The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) destroys due process in the United States by granting President Obama the power to kidnap any American, anywhere in the U.S. and forever hold him or her in prison without a trial.”

No other paragraphs were necessary for Utah citizens to stand behind Senator Lee in his opposition to NDAA.

A&E and Constitutional Duty to Support Free Speech

Friday December 20, 2013. Emailed to

Regarding Duck Dynasty, it is your duty as part of your personal constitutional contract to support free speech. What the Duck Dynasty Patriarch said doesn’t matter as much as your duty to support his freedom of speech.

We were not Ducky Dynasty fans or viewers. Now my family and I will no longer watch anything produced by A&E.

Rather than defend yourselves with a lame reply, I suspect none of you were actually trained in the principles behind the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. Please educate yourself. The principles are fascinating and inspiring. Read the book, The 5000 Year Leap. You can buy it on Amazon.com
